Our Story

I’m Ash, a mama to two gorgeous little boys, wife to my high-school sweetheart and creator of Kute Cuddles. I’m so glad we found each other!

It all started when I was pregnant with my first boy back in 2015. It was a genuine struggle to find swaddles, blankets and other baby goodies that were aesthetically pleasing and long-lasting, but without the hefty price tag. My options were limited to products that were either cheap and low quality, or stylish and great quality but unjustifiably expensive. I struggled with guilt – I wanted to provide the best for my baby but also be sensible in my spending. 

That’s when my dream of Kute Cuddles was born. With a vision to deliver affordable luxury to mums everywhere, I wanted to create a collection of beautiful pieces that were lovingly designed and produced but didn’t cost the earth.

So I spent all my time on maternity leave researching fabrics and suppliers, collaborating with artists and designers, sampling and product testing, and building everything from the ground up.

It took me a long time to perfect my vision and bring Kute Cuddles to life. I understand that having a baby can be expensive, but also that each and every one of us wants to provide the best for our bubbas. Kute Cuddles exists to help you do just that.

Fast-forward through five years of hard work and passion, and Kute Cuddles, my third baby, was born. I hope you love your Kute Cuddles goodies just as much as I loved creating them for you.

About our pieces

Sumptuous and lusciously soft yet durable and practical, all our pieces are made with ethically and sustainably sourced natural fibres to provide your baby with the ultimate comfort. Our organic cotton is GOTS-certified so you can rest assured you are choosing a piece that’s had no nasties or synthetic fibres involved in any stage of the production process.

The prints on our swaddles are exclusive designs just for us. I’ve worked with some amazing local artists to carefully curate unique pieces, so your littlest love won’t ever go out of style.

I understand first hand the sheer joy and, let’s be honest, challenges motherhood can bring. I hope our pieces make you smile, knowing your baby is ‘swaddled with love’.

 

Doing our bit for the planet…

Kute Cuddles is working towards creating a better tomorrow for our precious darlings, so we try to do our part for the planet.

• All our pieces are made with natural fibres ranging from GOTS-certified organic cotton to bamboo and combed cotton for our knitted blankets, which are all sourced ethically and sustainably.
• We don’t use synthetic materials – ever. Even our labels are made of pure cotton with non-toxic water-based colouring.
• The buttons we use are made from wood, and our tags are tied using thread, which helps us to reduce our use of plastic.
• All our packaging is delivered with eco-friendly tissue paper, and we use compostable mailers so we can help to reduce landfill. We also recycle and reuse our packaging where possible.

These are only a few things we do, and we know there is a long way to go. With your support, we can take baby steps with a vision towards a greener tomorrow.
